The Alpenrose and becoming banditos

This is the house we stayed at in Mayrhofen -where we came back to after snowboarding. We had the top floor and it was great.

Oh and a sweet hidden space behind our closet! What? Yes! I'm sure some ppl where hidden there and rescued during WWII, right? Right.

 

 

 That night we walked around town and made dinner at our place. I believe BananaGrams was the game of choice. Whitney was feeling better and those guys are dang fun to hang out with.

So, the next morning we heading to Switzerland! This might be my favorite moment. Why? Because Jason convinced Whitney that it was the law in Switzerland for the front two ppl in a vehicle to wear  neon safety vests. I don't think she really believed him but she put it on. Every car we passed she would try to look and see if the other ppl were wearing one and Jason would have to slow down or speed up and we would try to distract her. It was beyond funny and NOT laughing was so hard. It didn't last too long but it was definitely one of the highlights of the whole trip! We love you Whitney!

So, Jason's passport had unfortunately been left behind so we didn't know if we could even get him into Switzerland and we had to go because Whitney was flying out of Zurich that day. But it turned out the genius GPS somehow sensed our dangerous situation and took us through back roads and the tiny country Lichtenstein (?) and over a boarder crossing with no check point. Rebels!

Anyway, we stopped to eat lunch and found these cool guys in the bakery at the local grocery store:

After we dropped Whit off and sadly had to say goodbye to her (seriously she is so fun) we kept driving up into the mountains.

 

We stopped at this beautiful lake for some photos.

 

Look how the mountain curves up at the top! So cool. I could live there.

Oh and we found this sweet second hand shop and HAD to stop because of the name. There was some seriously cool maps, books and crazy trinkets in there.
